Music is a life skill and a universal language; it is also one of my greatest passions. Another passion is teaching kids! I have been teaching piano since 2010 in the Fayetteville-Manlius area, and have both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music Education from Roberts Wesleyan College.
My learning experience focuses on the individual. Through half-hour, one-on-one lessons, we focus on reinforcing each student’s strengths as relating to music and work on establishing and furthering their all-around piano abilities. Through building these musical skills, students will learn a greater appreciation of music. They will acquire skills that can translate to other instruments and disciplines. In the long-term, they will gain the ability to teach themselves new songs or even create their own. I use a positive (sometimes even wacky!) and encouraging approach with fun, varied methods that build technique, expression and foundational musical skills in a way that students enjoy!
If you are looking for a piano teacher for a beginner of any age in or around the FM area, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I look forward to making music with you!
